I started working on this one way, waaaay back (right after Vivienne's fit?), left it unfinished for a long time because I'm a Paragon of Executive Dysfunction. The sheer amount of pieces, colors, and the mind-droning process of adding crafting + tempering recipes to all of the pieces made me want to eat lead. Never again.

Cassandra Pentaghast'
s armor(s) broken up into modular pieces, colors, and light/heavy armor variants for your mix-and-match, Build Your Own Imposing Armor pleasure.

Body shape is based on my CBBE preset :P sorry! I'm gonna be basing my stuff off of my Bodyslide presets from now on--a little bit of fat and guts won't kill ya. If hand seams happen, just wear the gauntlets. And no physics (((((:

I can't believe there are people out there who have sinusitis that lasts for only a week.Oh your nasal cavity is clogged and over-sensitive? No worries, it's gonna clear up on its own. Not me! Couldn't sleep last night (which made my mood today even worse) because of it and I even took my paracetamol twice just to make it go away. TWICE!

Anyway.

A small-ish outfit set of the Inquisitor's infamous boring beige default outfit (the Skyhold PJs, as it's lovingly called). Male only, paired with the coat torso/over-armor and mage Inquisitor's belt-fastened spellbook. Unenchanted, unarmored, has no crafting recipes. Boring.

(I'll eventually update this mod in the future to add more armor variants (not more color variants though, fvck that. Watch this space.)

My entire thought process throughout working on this was "why the hell would you wear that, Dorian? Why the hell would you wear that, Dorian? Why the hell--

A smaller outfit set worn by Dorian Pavus from Dragon Age: Inquisition. Smaller, not because he doesn't have a wide array of wardrobe in that game, but because I only did the ones I like + his robes literally crashed OutfitStudio three times it felt like the universe doesn't even want me to post this :') But there's a (small) selection of color variants to make up for it.

As always, there's no physics. Body shape is HIMBO Default. Included hand meshes are based on the oft-overlooked Improved Male Hands for HIMBO.Read more... )
This is gonna be the masterpost of all of my (smaller) outfit and hair ports from Dragon Age: Inquisition. Also showcase of Baby's TODDLER'S First Weight Painting (1.1 and texturing), so please be easy on me (and my inevitable mistakes).

FEATURES + SO MANY KNOWN ISSUES:
  • Weight painting on some of the pieces aren't perfect, I've improved some of them with the update.
  • All have proper ground models and (not so proper) first person models.
  • All have proper weight slider, except for Cullen's armor, Blackwall's armor, Dalish Scout armor and Morrigan's clothes. (though you won't get neck seam with them).
  • ... But not all have male/female variants. If you're wearing a dress as a dude you'll just get floating head. For now. Sorry.
  • Body shape is based on my CBBE and HIMBO preset.
  • No physics.
  • Some armor pieces are combined (like how it is in the original game), while some I've tried to separate into modular pieces as best I could. Some armor pieces don't have calves/wrists partition underneath (like the Spellbinder set) so if you don't wear the gloves you'll get floating hands, etc.
  • Diffuse and normal textures are saved with BC7 compression, speculars in BC1 to save space.
  • A bunch of color variations (not all are shown). Some PDN files are included for you to make new recolors.
  • A lot of the textures have been edited to make them look (hopefully) as cute as they are in the original game :')
WHAT'S INCLUDED (SO FAR):
  • Alienage open-shoulder tunic (F, recolors)
  • Alienage dress (F, no recolor)

  • Orlesian Duchess Dress (Florianne's) (F, no recolor. wonky weighting on skirt, didn't have time to fix.)
  • Orlesian Enchantress Dress (Morrigan's) (F, recolors, dress, gloves, necklace)
  • Orlesian Noble set (M, no recolor, torso, boots, gloves)
  • Peasant dresses - three variants (F, recolors)
  • Peasant tunics - two variants (M, recolors, one of them have the boots separated)
  • Peasant Vest (Carver's) (M, recolors, cuirass+boots, gloves, a variant without waterskins)
  • Reaver armor (the weight painting fuckign Disappeared on me one day and I'm too tired to fix it :( will have to redo the conversion from scratch. Later. For now it's set as unplayable.)
  • Tevinter Spellbinder set (U, recolors, torso, gloves, boots, hood)
  • Tevinter Enchantress set (Calpernia's) (F, recolors, torso, boots, headwrap)
  • Warden Recruiter (Blackwall's) (M, with a white recolor, and armor pieces. kinda half-assed, I only did it so Blackwall would have something to wear.
  • Wedding Attire (U, different look for male and female, no recolor, cuirass+boots)
  • Several ported hairs (I didn't bother making some unisex). Unfortunately fitted for CotR heads only, so they're not compatible with vanilla elves.
  • Several ported facial hair (beards and staches). Fitted for CotR male head. Not implemented, no TRI files except for Blackwall's and Dorian's. Intended more as a modder's resource.

Behold, the thing that I've been working for the last 20-ish days and never felt good enough to release, that I have to chide myself into posting because perfectionism is the killer of joy!

The exquisite attire of the one and only Vivienne de Fer (from Dragon Age: Inquisition), broken up into tiny modular pieces and multiple (questionable) recolors for your mix-and-match, Build Your Own Cool Imposing Dresses pleasure.

Look, I fell sick when working on this. Legitimately. I was going to do her alternate dress too (the one with plain chest and triangle skirt that always clips with her high boots), but the fever had gotten too annoying to handle I decided to scrap it. UV mapping on the plain boots is also not perfect. The recolors never look good enough to me, I haven't SMP-ed the skirt piece (which should ideally be SMP, I know. I knowwww.), and at some point it just becomes... so much work for something that I initially wanted only a few pieces for.

Body shape is CBBE Vanilla....ish. Technically, it's Vivienne's body shape, wide hips and all. If you experience wrist seam, equip the gauntlets. UNP/vanilla body will result in misplaced boob shadows.

  • NPC replacer for Beyond Reach (on-going)
  • fix up texture seams on Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood (againnnnn)
  • alternate clothing meshes for SkyChild
low priority (but i'll get there at some point. maybe):
  • NPC replacer for Cut Content Restoration (trying to figure out how to tackle cut vanilla NPCs, so they can be compatible with other cut content mods. probably Skypatcher?
  • update my follower mods (minus Audacious Allies) (againnnnn)

Aaaaand Riften/Morthal update (I can already tell updating this mod is gonna be hell with how dreamwidth is formatted).

Version 2 covers everything from the first (Whiterun Hold and Falkreath) with the addition of The Rift Hold (Rift Hold, Ivarstead, Shor's Stone, including the Thieves Guild), Morthal, Stonehills, and a few NPCs on Dawnstar.

It has a lot of requirements and recommendations, but none of them is strictly needed to make the mod functional (you just won't get the full distribution if you lack a mod or two). The exception would be Fishing CC, which has some textures needed for a particular mashup. If you somehow still don't have that piece of CC, Xavbio's common clothes retexture can be used instead.

Previews: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

.

.

ESL-flagged patches:

The distribution uses several pieces from mods that aren't originally ESL-flagged, but I already ESL-flagged it for my personal load order so the formID might have changed, so in order to use them (and only if you want to use them), you'll have to grab my ESL-flagged patches too.

The original post already has patches for Ophelia (flower crowns) and zzMaidOutfit (zzjay's maid/peasant clothes). Please keep in mind that if you already have any of these mods prior and they're not ESL-flagged, making them ESL mid-playthrough is probably not safe!

At the present these two aren't too important for the full distr (steel plate is only used for Black-Briar mercenaries and Noblesse Oblige for Indaryn), but I'll probably pepper them over to other NPCs in the future.

.
.

Features, changes, etc:

Fix: Njada's distribution line is correctly moved to the warrior addon, instead of the original mod. Textures for Nazeem's accessories fixed.

For the Thieves Guild specifically, almost every member now has their own individual garb. It makes little sense to me that a crime organization (especially something as loose as a rogue/thief group) would have standardized uniform... maybe an insignia or some signature belts or somethiing, but the whole getup? No no.

Brynjolf now wears something similar between his fine outfit and thieving outfit. Rune now wears the "strange runes" he talks about, and Niruin is still wearing his old Silver Crescent armor. Some members here and there are still wearing vanilla Thieves Guild so they're not gone 100%.

The Black-Briars wear mostly blacks and gaudy purples (because Riften... purple... I thought I'm being clever). Wylandriah's glasses are just a teeny bit crooked. Balimund the castle blacksmith wears RIften's insignia on his apron, while some Dunmer residents wear Dragonborn DLC's added Dunmer outfits--some sleeveless, new green retex.

Illia wears a raggedy Morrigan-esque mashup that some people will probably hate while her mother Silvia wears a Forsworn-like robes, kind of like Wyress Robes but with a different top. I tried to make the witch/hag enemies wear something similar but neither Skypatcher nor SPID wants to cooperate with me for enemy outfits ;-;

In Morthal and Stonehills, Aslfur (the jarl's husband and steward) and Sorli (a potential jarl) get a bit more upgrade. Teeba-Ei is a potential steward, so he gets some too. The other miners in Stonehills wear scarves now.

Outside of Riften, Valga VInicia, Kerah, Beitild, Rustleif and Seren get some new things as well.

In the priest and warriors addon, Dibella priestesses are wearing new white dresses based on Ashara's Imperial Outfits, with a variation for Mother Hamal.

There's also two mashups for Serana--one a Dawnguard kitbash, the other a dress (Fuse00's Akasha top with long skirt).

There's also a few mashups with extra recolors that aren't or haven't been assigned to any NPC that you can wear if you want, they just don't have proper inventory models. I made way too many variants of Aduri's dress, and Maven also has an unused sleeveless variant of her dress with the armor record all set up.

One more thing--I also attempted to remove daggers on some NPCs' inventory if they clip with the skirt or dress, but the removal line I used isn't very successful lol. Not a big deal honestly; a floating iron dagger on a noble's fancy dress is just a bit of an eyesore.

Clothing mods used (copied from the original post, with new additions at the end):

  • AE recommended; I'll use bits and bobs from Creation Club stuff eventually. Fishing CC is required for some textures.
  • Common Clothing Expanded (link, link, link) - strongly recommended. It contains the bulk of the outfit distributions, and I made the color variants so download it dammit
  • Maid Outfits (link, link) - recommended. Used for some female Nord farmers, innkeepers, and some noble ladies. The recolor is recommended too; I made the distribution with it in mind.
  • Traveling Priest (link) - recommended. Used for some... wait for it.... priests. It's kind of recommended but not really, because I have my own color-coding headcanon for the priests in Skyrim, but a more refined player might want someone else's distribution or Gods and Worship instead.
  • Publican Outfits (link) - Used for a few NPCs
  • Merchantress Outfits (link) - Used for a few NPCs.
  • Wandering Mercenary (link) - Used for a few... you get the point ok
  • Traveler's Armor (link) - Used for a few NPCs.
  • Fuse's Adventurer Armor (link, link) - Xtudo's patch is recommended. Used for a few carriage drivers and the courier
  • Adventurer's Tunics (link) - Used for a few hostlers and random adventurers here and there--this will be overused in the future lol so I might bump this up to recommended eventually
  • Southbound Scouts (link, link) - Used for a few farmers, and some randos here and there
  • Court Wizard Robes (link) - Used for some court wizards. Similar instance as below.
  • Cultural Bards (link) - Used for some bards (duh). I know the mod has its own distribution; Skypatcher INIs are easy to edit to your liking thankfully.
  • Nord Tribal Armor (link) - Used for some hunters
  • Helga Dress (link, link) - this and the retexture. Used for Valga and Idgrod the Younger. Grab Xtudo's patch if you want a non-SMP version.
  • Alchemist Outfit Variations (link) - used for Syndus. Accessories used for some alchemists.
  • Ghosts of the Tribunal CC - used for Brand-Shei, eventually gonna use it for more Dunmer nobles.
  • Elmlock Armor and color variants (link, link) - used for Medresi Dran.
  • Noblesse Oblige (link--but I recommend getting my version linked above instead) - used for Indaryn.
  • Casual Pirate Outfit (link) - Used for Louis Letrush (don't ask), and eventually some pirates later. Grab the 3BA patch if you want a female version, idk if I'll ever use it on a female NPC though.
  • Arcane Mage Armor (link) - Used for Wylandriah.
  • Stormhold Warrior Armor (link) - Used for From-Deepest-Fathoms and... her brother? Or just her brother. My brain's not braining rn
  • Sforzinda's Sartorial Sorcery (link) - Used for that one dead mage scholar in Folgunthur. Yeah.
  • Leon Armor set (link, link) - Used for Mercer. Xtudo's patch is needed.
  • Master Thief Armor (link) - Used for Karliah.

.

Armor mods used:

  • Chevalier's Set (link) - honestly my distribution for these is kinda lame, so... whatever.
  • Steelheart Armors (link) - Recommended. Used for a few Nord warriors.
  • Infantry Armor (link, link) - Recommended. Used for a few warriors. Xtudo's patch is needed because I distributed their steel variants too.
  • Northern God (link) - Used for Kodlak.
  • Highlander Armor (link) - Used for only Ria, so far.
  • Nordplate Expansion (link) - Recommended. Used for some housecarls, and Balgruuf's battle outfit.
  • East Empire Brigandines (link) - Used for only Adelaisa so far.
  • Dragonstar Armor (link) - Used for only Salma. Be warned; this is the only armor mod in this set that isn't ESL-flagged, and I'm not gonna patch it bc it has a quest attached to it!

.

Accessories used:

  • Nirn Necessities (link) - Recommended.
  • Scarves of Skyrim (link) - Recommended
  • Blanket Scarves Earth Tones(link)
  • Ophelia Circlets (link)
  • Jewelry Collection (link) - Recommended
  • Reading Glasses (link) - Recommended

.

NPCs with custom mashups added:

  • Maven Black-Briar
  • Ingun
  • The Thieves Guild (Brynjolf, Vex, Delvin, Niruin, Rune, Cynric, Sapphire)
  • Some blacksmith apprentices (Asbjorn, Tacitus)
  • Nivenor
  • Anuriel
  • Short-sleeved Dunmer outfits for some Dunmer
  • Aduri (Girl's Travel Outfit with a longer skirt, basically)
  • Some unique recolors for Hemming and Bolli

.

.

Known issues:

  • Minor clipping here and there; hopefully nothing too egregious?

This is a personal(-ish) outfit distribution and replacer for every(-ish) named NPCs in Skyrim, utilizing a good number of outfit mods from Nexus and custom mashups by yours truly. The goal is to reduce outfit repetitions between the common folk (farmers, laborers, etc) and bring a little bit of life into them.

This is still a BETA of a beta, basically. Consider this version 1.0. So far, it covers Whiterun, Riverwood, Rorikstead, Falkreath, and a few NPCs within Riften. Next update should hopefully cover Riften/the Rift Hold.

It has a lot of requirements and recommendations, but none of it is critical for the distribution to function (you just won't get the full distribution if you lack one or two reqs). You could even just take the ESP and BSA for yourself, delete the distribution part, and treat it as a mod that adds random collection of mashups. Every new piece is equippable by the player, though not all have unisex support and none of them have proper inventory models.

I already yapped about it a lot here, you can read that post for a bit more info.

Previews: 1, 2, 3, 4 (and check my screenshot tag)

Requirements:
  • Skypatcher. For the distribution to work.
  • CBBE-compatible female body. All female mashups are made with that body. You'll probably get misaligned nip-nips with UNP.
  • As a precaution, XP32-extended compatible skeleton. (3BA and Racial Body Morphs already include it by default). I made sure to remove any useless genital bones from meshes, but I might have missed some idk

Recommended...ish (for consistency):

  • My personal CBBE and HIMBO preset. Putting the links here in case someone looks at my mashup and wants to complain that the full weight mesh has so much fat. I made it with my personal bodyslide preset in mind, thankyouverymuch
  • Xavbio's retextures
  • Fur Shader Armors
  • Saffir's glasses, Nenya's ear decoration, and some of the flower crown picks are fitted for Ordinary People NPCs, but they might fit vanilla or other people's replacers (I doubt it though). If you find that Nenya's ear decor floats or clips with her face, disable the distribution in SKSE/Plugins/SkyPatcher/outfit/KarurasOrdinaryOutfits_Tweaks/FaceAccessoriesFittedForOrdinaryPeople.ini

How to install the mod:

  • Get Skypatcher.
  • Install all of the required armor and clothing mods, or just a few, but I recommend at least the "recommended" ones. Make sure the ESP is enabled in your mod manager. Unlike Divine Wardrobe where you only need meshes and textures, I decided to reference the clothing's ID from their original mod because who has time to recreate hundreds upon hundreds of ARMO/ARMA records? Not me, that's who.
  • If needed, install the ESL-flagged plugins for Ophelia.esp (the flower crowns) and zzMaidOutfits.esp (for Maiden outfits). You might not need them if you've ESL-flagged them yourself.
  • Install this mod. Whether or not the distribution works depends on if you have another distribution mod that might override this. Divine Wardrobe uses SPID by default and will always override Skypatcher distribution iirc. Same with every other SPID mods.

Features (idk what to call this segment):

There is already a lot of outfit distribution mods on Nexus, the biggest being Divine Wardrobe which was my main-ish inspiration, but many of them often overlook the common folk. Farmers, merchants, laborers, lumberjacks. This is my personal little take on it (I say "little", but the BSA is 650~ MB. Whoops)

Married couples now wear matching wedding bands (placed on their actual ring finger), and you can tell who is married to whom at a glance. Alvor/Sigrid wear a different kind of wedding bands than Gerdur/Hod, for example. Peasants wear copper rings, while nobles wear silver or gold. Some widows or widowers who haven't yet moved on are still wearing their wedding band.

There is now a bigger distinction between nobles and non-nobles. The Battle-Borns proudly wear red to display their allegiance with the Empire. The Gray-Manes wear more muted colors. Bergritte and Fralia no longer dress like peasants, and Olfina no longer wear the same barkeeper's rags that every other barmaid wear (she's a potential steward, dammit). Fralia/Eorlund and Bergritte/Olfrid also possess unique, expensive wedding bands.

As an easter egg, several couples who are in the courting stage are now wearing vanilla silver rings :) It's discreet and doesn't raise too much alarm in my personal headcanon. Not every couple can afford wearing promise rings like this, though.

Some non-Nords who don't take well to the harsh climate of Skyrim have taken to wearing scarves or capes.

Some people don't have great eyesight. They can be seen wearing glasses.

Some Altmer are conscious about their ear shape. Nenya is wearing a pair of these ear shapers.

Nazeem is bedazzled in jewelry worthy of the Cloud District. Constance Michel wears sweater and skirt that matches what the orphans wear in Kids in Nirn. Marcurio, my spoiled and beloved son, gets his own outfit and a sleeveless variant that you can get through console commands or Modex/QUI/AddItem/whatever.

There are random knick-knacks I made to enhance vanilla fine outfits. Mostly capes, cloaks, and fur cloaks.

Warriors and priests are in a different module which requires the main one. There are already so many distribution mods for them already, so it's more of an afterthought for now. But if you decide to use it, you'll find Njada Stonearm with a stone arm :)

(I recommend installing all of them, with the ESP enabled, but you can safely skip a few. Your game won't implode or anything.)

NPCs with custom mashups are (so far):

  • Alvor
  • Olfina Gray-Mane
  • Adrianne Avenicci
  • Nazeem
  • Saffir, Zaria (custom mashup for some female Redguards)
  • Amren (scarf from Rihad armor set)
  • Some lumberjacks
  • Jouane Manette (Breton noble doublet that's probably gonna be recolored and used for other Breton nobles)
  • Siddgeir
  • Nenya
  • Svana Far-Shield
  • Constance Michel
  • my son Marcurio

Known issues:

  • I made custom circlet for Siddgeir and Kynareth priests, but for some reason they're invisible in game, so I removed them from the outfit record for now. The meshes, textures, and ARMA/ARMO records are still there in case anyone wants to take a look or take a crack at fixing it

I briefly lost hold of this account several months back (apparently Dreamwidth doesn't load for some reason with or without VPN?). I've been moving some links to my Tumblr now. You can find my mods there if you can't find it here.

But yeah unfortunately keeping copies and copies of links and rewriting mod descriptions is getting exhausting, so I'll probably delete some of my mods on Dreamwidth/Mediafire that are already published on Nexus, like Serana and the Volkihars.

I need to update my follower mods :-( trying to finish these little by little. Stay tuned.

good news: I got a new (cheap, hopefully healthier) laptop! I have no idea how games will perform on this, but rescuing unpublished mods from the depths of my rickety old laptop made me realize that... I have unpublished mods.

So, a smaller one: a mesh edit for the Dark Seducer cuirass that came with Saints and Seducers creation club. Just the cuirass, boots and gauntlets not included:

Did I just make it skimpier? Absolutely, next question.

I removed the weird neck-thing, swapped the skirt for the female version, made the cuirass' silhouette less bulky around the stomach and all around just made it more pleasant (imo) to look at.

There's some clipping around the stomach/skirt area when sitting, as you can probably guess with a skirt that short. There's underwear underneath that so you won't get flashed.

Compatible with (only) HIMBO or Better Males' adjacent body textures--vanilla textures will cause seams around the inner thighs and wrists.

No bodyslide support (made to conform to my personal HIMBO preset, so skinny is a bit skinnier and 100 weight muscle is a bit muscly-ier).

Can't believe I just figured out how to tinker with OutfitStudio NOW.

Here's something probably only two people will ever need: a small, extremely niche and random collection of wigs and accessories!

Requirements:
  • SC - TW3 Hairdos (only textures--for the Ciri hair mashup wigs and roses)
  • Ferrum Nibenis (only if you use the Mothweave circlets, and only the textures)
  • KS Hairdos ((only textures)
  • HG Hairdos 2 (only textures--for one wig). Link to direct download
  • BEES! if your Skyrim version is 1.640 or lower (or whatever the actual number is)
  • BG3 1&2 on Loverslab (either one of them, idk). If you can't find a direct link, I have a copy here and here.
(soft?) requirements:
  • Charmers of the Reach (the hairs, wigs, and especially Nightingale mask is specifically made to conform to their faces--like, really. the masks are not gonna fit on HPH or vanilla heads)

(April 22nd--UPDATED)

Why would I suddenly release bigger mods on Dreamwidth (and not Nexus)?? Idk.

Overhauls 19 (technically 20) NPCs within Vicn's quest mod GLENMORIL. In a way, it's a continuation of my old mod Men of Glenmoril I posted on Nexus (that one only has the three main dudes--and it was also my very first NPC overhaul on Nexus! Eyyy how time flies!).

This is a (teeny tiny) personal mod that does to things:
  1. fixes Serana's repetitive lines, tweaks conditions to make them (in my mind) more appropriate, and especially fixes the dreaded "I can't wait to see the courtyard again" line that she keeps repeating over and over and over again whenever you exit out of a conversation with her before doing the Soul Cairn quest (like, seriously)... and;
  2. adds more generic hello, goodbye, idle, and combat lines to Serana so that she sounds a little less repetitive. All of them are spliced and repurposed from vanilla lines. Some friendlier lines are opened up with the progression of the Dawnguard questline (to represent your growing friendship with her, or something). She expresses concern when you're at low health, cautions you when exploring ruins, etc.
Aaaaand that's it!

This is mostly something that's already done with Relationship Dialogue Overhaul, mine just has a bit more dialogue (and I've long since ditched RDO from my load order).

Obviously DO NOT USE if you're using Serana Dialogue Add-on--not only will you have Serana with two mismatching voice actresses, but we probably edit similar records anyway. This is more of a vanilla+ user who doesn't use a ton of dialogue mods, but still want some fixes and less gratingly repetitive combat barks, like in my Marcurio mod. Especially if you're keeping Serana for an entire playthrough.

Mod author (VaultFalcone) said anyone is free to improve the mod, and I hope this still fits under that permission!

Flirty Commonwealth is... that. My man, just read the mod description, I'm not repeating it. Nice mod, but I noticed it followed some bad practices in modding (voice lines are not packed into FUZ, some dirty edits), and I thought I'd tidy it up a little.

What I did:
  • Voice lines (loose WAV and LIP files) are now packed into FUZ. This potentially fixes issues with unvoiced dialogues.
  • Contents are packaged into BA2. If for some reason you prefer loose files instead, you can extract it through Cathedral Assets Optimizer (don't forget to switch to FO4 profile).
  • Dirty edits removed (records that get forwarded in the ESP without any changes) using FO4Edit.
  • Lots of grammar and typo fixes.
  • Added some gender checks. Completely useless since the mod has different versions for male and female player anyway--it's mainly for me because I tested all four plugins at once and didn't want Nora to get called a dude.
  • Companions' idle lines have 6 hour cooldown now.

What I didn't do:
  • I didn't make it ESL, sadly (can't risk compacting formIDs and potentially screwing up something)
  • There are some lines with incorrect subtitles (not typos, but cut-off sentences and stuff). I didn't correct this, because when looking at xedit it doesn't look like an error (I just found out when hearing the actual line in-game). It's not that many though. Just ignore 'em please.
  • I also didn't edit dialogue conditions further to make it more immersive or 'fit my tastes better' or such. I don't want feature creep. (And also when I tried adding GetRandomPercent on some of the flirt lines, for some reason that makes the lines not fire at all? Editing Fallout 4 mods is still an uncharted territory for me, and I really don't want to screw up shit).

Other stuff worth mentioning:
  • With dirty edits removed, it should be more compatible with other mods now (it no longer needs a patch for Companion Thoughts Overhaul). I still recommend  placing it below any other mods that also edit dialogue quests for Diamond City, Goodneighbour, and Bunker HIll guards/settlers, because Flirty Commonwealth had to edit an existing dialogue record from each to remove the "Random end" flag, so the extra dialogue lines could play out. Not sure why MA couldn't just make a new quest, but I'm not gonna complain.

Yeahhh, we're gonna have a new section on this Dreamwidth.

This is a very tiny (tiny!) mod that edits some global values in Fallout 4 regarding companions' affinity and cooldown times... which is a fancy way of saying "this is yet another mod that reduces companions' affinity gain values and reduces the affinity-related cooldown times as a tradeoff". Ok, saying it like that still makes zero sense. You get what I'm saying.

Globals edited:
CA_Event_Likes: 15 --> 4
CA_Event_Loves: 35 --> 9
CA_Event_Dislikes: -15 --> -4
CA_Event_Hates: -35 --> -9
CA_CoolDownDays_Short: 0.05 --> 0.012
CA_CoolDownDays_Medium: 2.0 --> 0.5
CA_CoolDownDays_Long: 5 --> 1.25

Lots of people play Fallout 4 differently. Some like to grab companions and raise their affinity as soon as possible to get the perk then ditch them, some like to stick with one companion for the rest of the game. This is more for the former. (I personally made it for easy-to-please companions like Piper, who in vanilla game could become my best buddies by simply traveling for two days and me picking fifteen novice locks. Yeah, no.)

Sure maybe the quartered value is a bit of an overkill (I thought of that myself...). But after testing it in-game, it still... works? (especially if you didn't mod the passive affinity system). I recruited Codsworth as soon as I could (before Concord) and managed to max his affinity by level 17. No exploits, no "mod a random item, wait 2 hours, then mod another random item to gain quick approval" trick. So I think the small number is still doable.

Speaking of waiting 2 hours, I ended up adding a reduction to the cooldown globals as a sort of tradeoff. I didn't remove it entirely, because... reasons.

Want to make it even MORE overkill? Disable the passive affinity gain with this mod (i was looking for a mod that slows it down but couldn't find any).

Oh, and the esp name is basically the same as this mod because I edited that mod's esp to make mine. Yeah.

Made in F4Edit. Tested on the latest NG version (it's the only version I have, RIP)

 REQUIREMENTS: SkyPatcher

This is a very very very work-around-"your-mileage-may-vary" mod.

So you know how Skyrim basically has no friendly-fire system prevention ever, especially between mage followers? The player can have that one perk from the Dragonborn DLC (which is wild that in order to not hurt my teammates I have to purchase a DLC and get through the entire black book sequence... but anyway), but your followers can still harm you, or other followers. Especially mage followers. Ever tried bringing Marcurio and Illia or Serana together? Don't.

There have been many many many attempts at removing friendly fire between followers through the many follower framework mods, SKSE plugins etc etc, but I always found that it never quite solved the problem. I could duplicate the Dragonborn perk (Companion's Insight) and distribute them to my followers, but it just makes them unable to damage other followers--such perk still doesn't remove the initial hostility when their spell hits another teammate. I tried some follower frameworks, and I guess it does suppress friendly fire a bit (or maybe it's placebo), but still doesn't nuke it entirely.

And then I remembered that you could attach conditions to spells and/or magic effects. That's how some spells only affect undead, paralyze can't affect dragons, Unrelenting Force can't stagger every single NPC, etc. So I thought, what if I made custom duplicate spells that are incapable of hurting anyone that isn't hostile to the caster, and make followers only use those spells?

It worked (I think).

So this is what this little thing does. I duplicated every single damaging spells*), I attached custom conditions to their magic effects, and then, using SkyPatcher, I curated every single vanilla, DLC, and CC followers, removing their vanilla spells and substituting them with my friendly-fireproof version. I also edited two duplicate spells added by Dawnguard DLC to be friendly fireproof--these duplicates seem to be used by Serana only. Then I did a run through Illia's quest with Marcurio tagging along, and not once did her wide-ass Ice Storm spell hurt the other mage! So I definitely did something right there.

Included spells (they all have LeftHand, RightHand versions, just like vanilla):
  • Firebolt
  • Fireball
  • Incinerate
  • Ice Spike
  • Ice Storm
  • Icy Spear
  • Lightning Bolt
  • Chain Lightning
  • Thunderbolt
  • Sun Fire
*) Flames/Frostbite/Sparks are not included since I haven't seen any NPC triggering friendly fire with these short-ranged spray spells.

For completion's sake, I also added staves version to these spells. Staves count as their own spells, so in order to completely eliminate friendly fire with a specific NPC, they have to have BOTH friendly fireproof spells and friendly fireproof staves. However they're not distributed or placed anywhere by default.

Sounds good, right? Almost. However, there's a caveat. There's lots of caveats, actually. There's lots of reasons why you might NOT want to use this, and just stick to whatever follower framework or SKSE plugin you have to reduce friendly fire.

1) This is obviously made for my personal use, for my personal game, where I use almost no mods overhauling vanilla destruction spells (beyond whatever I made for myself). If you use Mysticism, it's not compatible.
(ok, technically it IS compatible, but whatever changes your mods make to the vanilla Fireball or Chain Lightning, it won't affect the friendly fireproof version of those spells in my mod)

2) This tweak will be made completely pointless if you already install a bajillion spell mods (like Darenii's or Kittytail's, for example) and distribute them to vanilla followers, because those new spells are not friendly-fireproofed. I do have some spell mods installed in my game, but for the sake of this tweak and my sanity I only gave them to enemies and non-followers.

3) Distribution is done manually--that is, I used filterByNpcs instead of filterByFactions or something similar. It won't automatically work on your Lucien or Xelzaz, unfortunately. The way Skypatcher works right now, I can only remove and then add spells, not "automatically replace any NPC with spell A to use spell B". The good news is you can simply edit the ini files to add (or remove) any NPC you want (for example, you might want to remove Marcurio from the distribution if you're using my makeover of him, since that already comes with his own friendly fireproof spells).

4) Serana is also another can of worms to deal with (tl;dr, it doesn't work on her). The way Bethesda gave her spells is through a script that kicks in every time the player (and thus her) levels up, and Skypatcher can't oveerride that. I tried including her ID in the inis anyway, but you'll see through the console (use MIC to inspect any NPC's attributes, perks and spells) that she has both my friendly fireproof spells AND the vanilla spells that the scripting gave her. You can remove the vanilla spells through the console, but it has to be done every time she levels up, which can be a chore.

5) It also doesn't affect Anska (the adventurer you meet in High Gate Ruins). Her spells pull from bandit mages' leveled spell list and can't be overridden by Skypatcher.

But hey, if you read all of that and still want to give it a try, here you go.

How to add support to other followers or NPCs:

1) Find out the NPC's base ID and the esp name of the mod it came from. For custom followers with a light (ESPFE) plugin, usually only the last three or two digits matter.

For example, Karura is an NPC from the mod KaruraWasabi.esp with base ID FE000819.
Her Skypatcher "code" would be KaruraWasabi.esp|819

2) Open the mod's esp through SSEEdit to double check if the NPC does have a vanilla a spell that can be replaced. Look at their NPC record and scroll down to Actor Effects (sorted)

For example, Karura has "IceStormRIghtHand".

3) Open the Skypatcher inis, located in Data\SKSE\Plugins\SkyPatcher\npc. Frost spells are located in a folder called "NoFriendlyFire_FrostSpells". Open it, then open the ini file inside. Read it and try to sense the pattern (I promise I wrote clear enough descriptions inside the ini files)

4) The top half of the ini is for removing spells, the bottom half is for adding new spells. Since we want to remove IceStormRightHand from Karura, we would need to edit these lines:

; removes IceStormRightHand from followers and potential allies
; Aranea, Illia, Talvas
filterByNpcs=Skyrim.esm|28AD0, Skyrim.esm|48C2F, Dragonborn.esm|17777:spellsToRemove=Skyrim.esm|BB96A

Those three base IDs are the IDs of Arenea, Illia, and Talvas. Add your NPC here (wherever it doesn't matter, just make sure to separate each ID with a comma and space). For example, adding Karura's base ID would make the line look like this:

; removes IceStormRightHand from followers and potential allies
; Aranea, Illia, Talvas
filterByNpcs=Skyrim.esm|28AD0, Skyrim.esm|48C2F, Dragonborn.esm|17777, KaruraWasabi.esp|819:spellsToRemove=Skyrim.esm|BB96A

5) Scroll down to the bottom section, locate the part about adding KWnoFF_IceStormRightHand--it should be pretty similar. Add your NPC's base ID just like you did above.

6) Save the ini and test in-game.

How to access the spells and staves in-game:

Open the console and search for "KWnoFF" (it's not case-sensitive). You'll see that there are multiple versions of the same spell--the first is the normal spell, while the last two are LeftHand or RightHand version. For player use, you'd generally want the normal version. NPCs can use whatever version.

What if friendly fire still happens even with the spells?

I have a teeny tiny suspicion that Fireball can still trigger friendly fire under rare circumstances (probably something to do with the explosion effect). General advice to stop friendly fire is to open console, click on the follower (or whoever started the friendly fire), type "stopcombatalarmonactor", enter. If that still doesn't work, type "disable" "enable", enter. That should reset the hostility.

Technical details:

Every associated MGEF and SPEL records have these conditions:

- Subject.IsHostileToActor(NULL) < > 0
- Subject.GetPlayerTeammate = 0

Frost spells also have a workaround fix to make sure slow effects work on other NPCs, in case you don't have any other mod or SKSE plugin that fixes this. The workaround is basically a "damage carry weight" effect for 1 point.

There is an extra KID file included to make the spells compatible with NPC Spell Variance. If you don't have it, the file won't do anything.

Guess who just had a New Years' Miracle?

It's kinda weird writing a post about doom and gloom and panic like it's the end of the world and the next post I'm like "sorry guys, shit's got fixed, everything's fine now teehee", but I can't blame past me. Generalized anxiety is a bitch and a half and every tiny grain of problem becomes a mountain of sand in my eyes--because they might as well be.

But the thing is, crisis is not 100% averted, not really.

 It's here!

Took me awhile to set up a Paypal account (I'm stupid), but I've finally done it.

Will it ever be useful? Not sure. But I figured if I want to exist on the internet space semi-semi-professionally, I should set up some way of online payment--just Paypal, at least. And having some way for others to leave me tip with ko-fi was mostly a "why not?" decision.
Been making some useful tiny patches for my own game lately, decided to share them.

REQUIREMENT: SkyPatcher and all its prerequisites

1. Slower Health Regen
A (potentially risky) patch that nerfs health regeneration values for every humanoid races (that is, every NPC with the "ActorTypeNPC" keyword) to 0.1 (from default 0.7). Works on any modded races out of the box, provided they have the keyword.
WARNING: will make every Health Regeneration enchantments near-useless. It technically still works, but because the base health regen is very low to begin with, that enchant works as a multiplier so the result is still a very low value.

2. An Assortment of Items Made Lighter (as in, take up less space in your inventory)
I like the inventory system, never much of a fan of those cheat mods that make items weightless. But I do think Skyrim is a bit punishing (and uncreative) when it comes to deciding its item weights, so I figured the best course of action is to make the items, especially crafting supplies, a lot lighter.
  • Lighter Armor (Heavy and Light armor take up half as much carry weight. Jewelries take up 1/4 as much carry weight.)
  • Lighter Books (books take up 1/4 as much carry weight [this would usually be 0.25 since most books weigh 1 point] and all recipes weigh 0.001 [it's just a piece of paper, dammit!])
  • Lighter Ingredients (ingredients take up 1/4 as much carry weight)
  • Lighter Scrolls (all magic scrolls take up 0.1 point--might also affect any modded throwable items with the VendorItemScroll keyword)
  • Lighter Weapons (weapons, including staves, take up half as much carry weight)
  • Lighter Miscellany (weight reduction for a bunch of miscellaneous items, mostly crafting supplies or things that you'd probably want to hoard in your inventory--gems, firewood, dragon bones, dragon scales, pelts, ores, ingots, leather and leather strips, dwarven scraps, albino spider pods, some Hearthfires building materials, dolls and animal tusks [why not?]. Gold and lockpicks now have a weight--0.001)
WARNING: some items might show up as having 0 weight in your inventory. That's fine, the game doesn't like displaying smaller decimal values.)

3. Merchants Sell More
Because why not. Distributes some vanilla and DLC items to existing vendors for survival gameplay, quality of life tweaks, or just general immersion. More guaranteed healing potions on alchemists, more salt piles EVERYWHERE (can't get enough of them), more lanterns (for use with Lights On), some jarls/fancy clothes for Radiant Raiment, Hearthfires breads, pastries, and other food for innkeepers and Carlotta. Bonemold armor set for Vanryth (unlockable Thieves Guild vendor) so you can access the armor without going to Solstheim.
